Following six successful tours featuring Walking trails and Train travel across Tuscany and Umbria, the next tours begin on May 02 and another on May 31. Staying in Tuscany for 4 nights, and Umbria for 3 nights. Immerse yourself in 7 amazing days of Outdoors and Culture across middle Italy! The walks are for a moderate level of fitness and runners are fine as footwear. Two walks have an accent of 150m. The average walk time is 3 hours with stops in between at charming medieval communes.

Tuscany and Umbria are neighbouring states. Tuscany offers walks in the wine region, and train hops to the coast and Florence with further walks. Umbria offers time in Mount Subasio National Park(near Assisi) with local walks, and train journeys to Perugia and Lake Trasimeno – two gems! There is also a 7 Day tour in September.

Travel : Book your own flights. Fly from Dublin to Pisa on the Saturday May 02 with Ryanair – and taxi share from Pisa Airport to Certaldo with our group. The following Saturday we depart Umbria at 1200 taking a 2h20 train journey to Rome central station. Allowing you to fly out of Rome that evening.

Accommodation: 4 nights in Certaldo, and 3 near Assisi. Twin and solo prices are available. Accommodation ranges from quality 4 star apartment share to 3 star hotel and guesthouse. The Certaldo-Tuscany stay includes one budget option.

Itinerary
-Saturday: Taxi shuttle from Pisa Airport to Certaldo-Tuscany
-Sunday: 6km walk into San Gimignano, plus 4km beyond. Evening wine tasting at a vineyard!
-Monday: Train journey to Pisa and Via Reggio sea side, 10km walking
-Tuesday: Train to Florence, guided walk, plus above the city walk
-Wednesday: Train to Umbria. Afternoon, local walk 8km – Mount Subasio National Park and Assisi
-Thursday: Morning 12km walk at lake Trasimeno, and visit Perugia
-Friday: 10 km walk to Castle Maggiore in foothills of Mount Subasio
-Saturday: Train depart for Rome 12pm.
